Vaughan backs West Indies, India to win ICC World
T20 2014
Former England skipper says quality spinners will make a difference in the tournament
Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has chosen India and West Indies, the defending champions, to win the World Twenty20 beginning in Bangladesh on March 16.
"I am going for India or West Indies... Both have power and plenty of good spin options... But it's always worth a tipple on Pakistan at WCs," tweeted Vaughan on Thursday (March 13).
"Any team from the following could win the T20 WC... India, Aussie, SA, West Indies, Sri Lanka and good outside chances in NZ and Pakistan..," he added.
India, who won the inaugural WT20 in 2007, is scheduled to play their opening game against Pakistan on March 21.
